Many established safari regions can be visited safely with the right planning, but conditions vary by country and region. We assess each route, use vetted operators, choose trusted guides, allow realistic connection times, and follow current local advice. We will also tell you when an experience may not suit your age, mobility, fitness, or comfort level.
Our African safaris start at around $6,500 per person, excluding international flights. The final cost depends on the destination, season, accommodation level, privacy, and internal travel. Once we understand how you want to travel, we plan the strongest safari within your budget and explain clearly what the price covers.
There is no single best month to visit Africa. June to October is generally dry in many safari regions, which can make wildlife easier to find. Migration patterns, water levels, local rainfall, and the experience you want will all influence when you should travel. Tell us what you want to experience, and we will recommend the best times for your ideal safari.
Allow at least 7 to 10 nights for the safari itself. A trip of 10 to 14 nights gives you time to combine two regions without spending every other day in transit. If you also want Cape Town, the Winelands, Victoria Falls, or a beach stay, two weeks or longer usually gives the route enough room to breathe.
Plan 12 to 18 months ahead if you want peak dates, a specific camp, a family villa, or the Great Migration. Six to nine months can still work when your dates are flexible. Early planning gives us more control over camp choice and route flow. Late enquiries can work, but the strongest options narrow quickly.
Yes. The right reserve, camp, room setup, and vehicle arrangement matter more than a family-friendly label. Some properties have minimum ages for game drives or walking, while malaria considerations may influence the route. We plan around your children’s ages, interests, and usual travel rhythm so the safari works for the whole family.
