Jason- Amazing, humbling, experience.
Warren- Best family holiday!
Name your favourite destination and why?
Jason- Khwai! Elephants walking through our camp and the lion roaring at night. We felt exposed and excited!
Warren– Khwai. Because of the night viewing, it was exceptional!
What was your best wildlife encounter?
Jason- Tough one! Probably the three cheetahs at Nxai Pans and the lion kill at Savuti.
Warren- The lion that we saw on a night drive at Khwai. It’s roar was SO loud!
Why would you recommend a self drive safari to others? What makes it different?
Jason- You have a deeper connection with the environment. The last thing you want is to stay in a luxury resort!
Warren- Just having Okwa (local Botswana guide) and Frank with us allowed us to see way more than we would have on our own.
Would you recommend taking a guide along on a self drive safari? If so, why?
Jason- Absolutely!! 100%. Our best experiences were as a result of Frank and Okwa’s skills and knowledge.
Warren- Same answer as Jason for sure!
You had an additional game viewing vehicle, was this beneficial and again would you recommend this to others considering a self drive safari?
Jason- It made all the difference but it would have been better in the Iveco! Next time!
Warren- The game viewer made all the difference because you are totally exposed to the bush and the wild.
How was your experience working with SAFARI FRANK?
Jason- Very enjoyable, great guys, great knowledge.
Warren- SAFARI FRANK made all the difference to the holiday. Frank’s knowledge of animals and birds got me really interested in all aspects of game viewing. Even spiders and insects were amazing!
Where is next on your Africa bucketlist?
Jason- Botswana again. Although we saw a lot of the country we did not see it all so another visit is definitely going to happen… soon!
Warren- Botswana again but a walking holiday with Okwa.
