Blue Zebra Island Lodge is on Nankoma Island in Lake Malawi National Park. Protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Blue Zebra Island Lodge is a tranquil escape for couples, honeymooners and families alike.

What better way to spend an afternoon than splashing about in the swimming pool or chilling out on deck chairs with a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail)? Named after a frequent visitor to the island, the African bee-eater, the open-air restaurant looks over Baobab Garden, the pool area, and Lake Malawi. Dining at Blue Zebra Island Lodge is a leisurely and tasteful experience.

Accommodations

Lake Safari Tents : All of the tents at Blue Zebra Island Lodge are quaint and comfortable. Guests may choose between a centrally located or a secluded tent. All tent options accommodate up to two adults, with sofa beds for one or two children under 12, depending on the room.
Executive Chalets : Two secluded executive chalets boast stunning views and provide the opportunity for guests to feel immersed in nature. These options, named kingfisher and cormorant, are great for honeymooners, couples, and solo travelers. The executive chalets accommodate up to two adults, and a single bed may be added.
Executive Family Chalets : There are two spacious safari-style family chalets: malachite and fisheagle. These offer two full bedrooms, separated by a lounge leading to a large balcony overlooking Lake Malawi. The family chalets accommodate two adults and three children or up to four adults.
Superior Family Cottage : The superior family cottage is an open-planned house with a lounge, dining area, and two en-suite bedrooms with queen beds. Two single beds can be added to the master bedroom. This cottage option offers guests breathtaking views and bird-watching opportunities from the balcony. The cottage accommodates up to six guests when adding single beds.
