Why we like it
- Location, location, location… central inside Etosha NP.
- Comfortable and affordable accommodation with a great pool for summer time.
- Highly frequented waterhole with elevated seating arrangements, floodlit at night…
- Excellent game viewing at night including most of the large game, with rhino seen most nights.
- Not as many travellers as Okaukuejo.
A camp centrally located in Etosha National Park with close proximity to some of the most popular waterholes.
Halali Camp is situated at the foot of a dolomite hill and amongst Mopane trees. The camp is conveniently located halfway between Namutoni and Okaukuejo and lays in close proximity to some of Etosha’s most popular waterholes. A short walk will take you to the camp’s floodlit waterhole with excellent day and night game viewing.
Halali offers a variety of accommodation, such as bush chalets and double rooms. All rooms provide an en-suite bathrooms, whereas the chalets also include and outdoor braai (bbq) area and bigger units are equipped with a kitchen and lounge area. There are also a camp sites for self-drivers. Lookout for the honey badger around camp….
The communal area of the camp, which is frequented by day visitors, as well as overnight guest, consists of a restaurant, bar, pool, small shop and petrol station.
Guests staying at Namutoni can also benefit from the unique location of this camp, as unlike the general flat geography of the Etosha Halali Camp is perched between a few hills and koppies. The thicker vegetation makes this popular with leopard, rhino and elephant.
The camp’s waterhole is a floodlit with elevated seating arrangements, which provide excellent wildlife viewing. It is also a perfect location for sunset views and photography over the waterhole. Other activities on offer are game drives and night drives in Etosha NP. Overall a pretty special experience.
