Why we like it
- Unspoiled ambience with breathtaking views
- Fall asleep in the middle of the Namib Desert to the sounds of the wilderness
- A pool in the centre of the camp provides refreshing variety
- The perfect stopover for all self-drivers and travellers through Namibia
In southern Namibia, on the border of Sesriem and the world famous Sossusvlei, there is a small and intimate camp with great charm.
If you are on your way to the impressive orange-red dunes of the Namib Desert, you should definitely have a stop here to enjoy the unique ambience and not miss the adventure of sleeping under the open sky in the middle of the desert. Going to bed to the sounds of the wilderness and listening to the calls of jackals and native geckos while falling asleep is the best way to get to sleep you could possibly imagine.
The camp offers numerous covered individual pitches, which are ideal for camping. Each camping site has its own toilet, washbasin, a kitchen wash-up facility and electricity. A private shower with hot water is provided and even a barbecue area for a traditional Namibian braai is waiting for every visitor at their pitch, so that sociable evenings around the campfire with good food and wonderful views of the Namibian night sky are guaranteed!
The centre of the campsite is a small, idyllic pool, which invites you to spend the hot midday hours here and meet like-minded travellers.
For the necessary refreshments there is a nearby petrol and service station, which also has a tyre workshop, a small kiosk and an internet café. Those who feel the need to take a break from self-catering have the possibility to have meals at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge and a varied range of leisure activities can even be booked here.
