Frankly…
the ability to sleep under the stars / moon with animal noises in the background was so unique. It is a completely different experience to sleeping inside a lodge – you really felt at one with nature.

Name your favourite destination and why?
The Greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. The terrain is quite bushy but also very picturesque. The riverbeds meant animal viewing was ideal and the sundowners were amazing as the sun set over the horizon.
What was your best wildlife encounter?
Seeing a leopard less than 5 meters away and having it growl at the safari vehicle. You could really get a sense of its menace and everyone jumped a mile!
Which animal could you not take enough photos of?
Giraffes. There is something about them. They are so tall, have a distinctive shape and just look so laid back!
Which activity would you recommend to other travellers? eg, walking, wine tour, game drive, sleeping at platform etc?
Sleeping in the treehouse. I don’t know too many safari companies that offer this. The ability to sleep under the stars / moon with animal noises in the background was so unique. It is a completely different experience to sleeping inside a lodge – you really felt at one with nature.

How was Frank and Gesa as hosts?
Fantastic. Couldn’t fault them at all. You can really see how passionate they are about the animals and Africa in general. They went out of their way to make sure the group had a memorable experience. Their knowledge of the area really felt like you were being hosted by locals. They went the extra mile to look for animals we hadn’t seen
Will you return to Africa?
YES. Really keen to see Botswana – just need to find the time and money!
