Tracking is an ancient art that forms the basis of all bushcraft.
Animal tracking is more complex than most people might think. All aspects of tracking may take years to master but with the correct guidance, you can learn to identify several species’ tracks in a surprisingly short space of time.
Learners are shown how to identify tracks and interpret animals’ gaits and behaviour, including important signs to be aware of while tracking potentially dangerous animals on foot.

What to expect from the Online Tracking Enthusiast Course
Subjects covered
This course covers a diverse range of subjects including: Introduction to Tracking: Part 1; Introduction to Tracking: Part 2; Track morphology; Animal gaits and behaviour; Tracking the Big 5; Small mammals footprints; Ungulate footprints; Birds’ tracks and signs.
A four week course
For four weeks we will take you on a virtual learning adventure with live lectures from expert instructors which will include: In-depth coverage of animal tracking modules; Live Q&A with the lecturer and other participants; Live lectures will range between one hour and two hours, with a live Q & A session after each session.
