MalaMala Camp

Experience & Activities       

Appreciate and enjoy the view of the surrounding wilds at MalaMala Camp. Pathways wind their way along the camp’s perimeter to reveal individual ochre-coloured units tucked into the greenery that flanks the Sand River. Massive trees and rolling green surround the camp, with the occasional antelope or elephant seeking the succulence of greenery. At camp, guests can use the camps gym and infinity pool, browse the boutique, settle in at the Safari Bar or book a massage. Curious guests can also explore treasure troves of rare photographs, old maps, souvenirs, and works of renowned contemporary wildlife artists. 

Activities include Big 5 viewing, bird watching, game drives, walking safaris, and wildlife tours. The capacity on game drives is limited to six guests per safari vehicle. 

Children under age five are not permitted in the boma for dinner or on game drives unless parents have booked a private vehicle. 

Accommodations       

• Luxury Suite: Larger and more luxurious than the luxury rooms, each suite has a panoramic view across the surrounding bushveld and the wilderness beyond. Large sliding doors and a wooden deck offer the opportunity to appreciate one’s surrounding in comfort and privacy between game drives. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a shower, a bath, and a separate WC. Facilities include 24-hour temperature control, large walk-in cupboards, direct-dial telephones, a mini bar, a tea station, and an in-room safe. Each room has twin 3’6” beds which can be made up of a king-size double bed on request. 
• Luxury Room: Smaller than the suites, the luxury rooms enjoy the same panoramic view across the bushveld and the wilderness beyond. Large sliding doors and an intimate private deck offer the opportunity to appreciate one’s surrounding between game drives. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a shower only, and a separate WC. Facilities include 24-hour temperature control, a large cupboard, a direct-dial telephone, a mini bar, a tea station, and an in-room safe. Each room has twin 3’6” beds which can be made up of a king-size double bed on request. 
• Luxury Single Suite: Designed with single travellers in mind, the river-facing single room has a panoramic view across the Sand River and the wilderness beyond. Large sliding doors and a wooden deck allow one to appreciate the surroundings in comfort and privacy between game drives. The en-suite bathroom comprises a vanity, shower, bath, WC and a separate outdoor shower. Facilities include a queen-size double bed, 24-hour temperature control, a large cupboard, direct-dial telephone, a mini bar, tea station, and an in-room safe.
