Discover the enchanting beauty of South Africa with an 11-night escape that begins at the shores of Cape Town, takes you through the vineyards of Franschhoek, lets you explore the lagoons of Knysna, and ends with the thrill of a safari at Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Be welcomed at The Last Word Long Beach, where you will find pristine beaches and spectacular ocean views. Continue your journey to the wine-rich valley of Franschhoek and stay at La Clé des Montagnes with its unique personality and superb location. Next, head to Knysna and stay at the Turbine Boutique Hotel & Spa, known for its luxurious accommodations and world-class facilities. Finally, immerse yourself in the safari experience at Fort House, located in the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, offering an unmatched view of the Great Fish River valley and the surrounding wildlife.

The Last Word Long Beach is a five-star boutique beach hotel in Cape Town. Uniquely located directly on the pristine eight-kilometre Long Beach, this untouched stretch of seashore is both namesake and muse to the hotel’s ‘beyond boutique’ serene sanctuary. All Cape Town’s iconic attractions are but a scenic drive away from this coveted hideaway. If you seek a Long Beach luxury boutique hotel promising breathtaking moments and soul awakening experiences, look no further. From the comfort of each spacious room, enjoy endless views of the Atlantic Ocean ahead and the Chapman’s Peak mountains beyond.

Drawing from the rich history of Franschhoek, La Clé des Montagnes exudes an air of sophistication throughout the abundant interiors. The manoir is home to our main reception, lounge, library and dining at La Clé Village where guests come together for meals or to enjoy the rolling lawns, pool and ample living spaces. With a team of chefs, the cuisine is dynamic and fresh, from local-style ‘braais’ to laden breakfast tables, personalised picnics, private dining and Chef’s Table dinners on select evenings. The Lodge offers simple evening meals with a South African twist, and delicious platters to enjoy with a glass of wine from the Franschhoek valley overlooking the vineyards. All of the meals are centered around using what is available seasonally and the Lodge aims to source as much as they can from the surrounding areas.

The Turbine Boutique Hotel & Spa was an ambitious project which transformed an old power station into a unique 5-Star boutique hotel. All the old machinery, which was once used in this power station, was lovingly restored and forms an integral part of the hotel’s aesthetics. Soak up its fascinating history, as you walk past massive turbines on the balcony, and marvel at the intriguing steel pillars and pipes that now form part of its funky décor. As can be seen when exploring the hotel, the industrial backdrop of bare bricks and huge whitewashed walls is softened by a sense of playfulness in the décor. The machinery and pipes are painted in vivid red, blue, green and orange, matched by dining chairs in different bright colours. All sorts of unusual instruments and contraptions are dotted around the hotel which will keep engineers, scientists and curious visitors fascinated for hours.

At Fort House, the free-flowing living entertainment areas, a wine cellar, the spa treatment room, and a refreshing pool make this exclusive use safari villa the perfect escape. Peruse the wine cellar, enjoy a snack from the guest pantry, spend some quiet time in the study or enjoy a massage in the spa treatment room, plus a complement of staff including a private chef, ranger, tracker and lodge team is discreetly on hand to make your stay unforgettable. A private safari vehicle with ranger and tracker offers an entirely flexible itinerary for daily game drives, nature walks, big game walking safaris (tracking white rhino, black rhino, elephant and buffalo on foot) and fishing. When not out exploring the reserve, relax on the terrace watching wildlife wander by, enjoy a swim in the pool and dine under the stars around the traditional boma – all with a view.
