Mozambique’s wildest bush & beach destination – Anvil Bay is an exclusive, barefoot-luxury beach experience set on a stretch of untouched coastal wilderness in Mozambique’s spectacular Maputo Special Reserve.

Anvil Bay is a secluded and private eco-lodge, located on the shores of the Maputo Special Reserve in the south of Mozambique. The solar powered camp is set-up on a pristine beach and built on a light ecological footprint, offering their guests a variety of attractions like the seasonal turtle nesting walks (from October to January) and whale watching (November to January), all kinds of motorized and non-motorised water sport activities, Dune forest trails, Rock pool exploration, Ocean Safaris as well as Game Drives in the close by Maputo Special Reserve.

The camp has 10 beautiful coastal forest suites with direct access to the white sand beach. Designed with a natural feel to it, these suites provide a well-stocked minibar and beverage station, luxury indoor and outdoor showers and a private dining deck en-suite.

Ideal for a honeymoon or family getaway, Anvil Bay is easily accessible by car or a short 30 Minutes helicopter flight from Maputo. Transfer by road is available from Maputo or the Kosi Bay border post between South Africa and Mozambique. Driving time from Kosi Bay is around 2.5 hours and from Maputo around 3 to 3.5 hours. Two hours of these transfers being a game drive through the magnificent Maputo Special Reserve.
