- From barefoot wet walks through the baï to guided forest hikes, guests can experience nature with an exhilarating intimacy.
- Built with natural materials and minimal impact, Lango Lodge stands as a model for conservation tourism that directly benefits the park and local communities.
Lango Lodge, on the edge of Lango Baï, offers one of the most arresting views of any lodge in Africa. A magnetic attraction for huge flocks of Green Pigeons and African Grey Parrots as well as herds of Forest Buffalo and Forest Elephants, wraparound walkways and elevated chalets maximise the views.

Hidden deep within the Republic of Congo’s Odzala-Kokoua National Park, Lango Lodge offers a rare window into one of the planet’s last great wildernesses. Overlooking the mineral-rich Lango Baï, this intimate six-room lodge sits suspended above a clearing alive with movement – from forest buffalo and bushbuck by day to secretive forest elephants by night. It’s a place where the rainforest hums around you and every moment feels deeply connected to nature.
Experience & Activities:
Lango Lodge invites guests to connect deeply with nature. Explore ancient forests on guided walking safaris, spotting bongo, sitatunga, and De Brazza’s monkeys. Join wet walks through Lango Baï, where buffalo graze and elephants leave hidden tracks.
Arrive by kayak on the Lekoli River, drifting past dense forest and calling primates. Walk the final steps to the lodge for a dramatic, unforgettable entrance. In the evening, enjoy sundowners on your deck while bushbuck and buffalo graze below. African grey parrots and green pigeons create a natural symphony.
Accommodation:
Six elevated chalets perch on stilts at the edge of the baï, offering 360° views of the forest and clearing. Chalets are made with locally woven raffia palm panels, with mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and flush toilets. Raised 3–4 metres above the ground, each chalet has a wraparound walkway for wildlife watching or simply enjoying the forest’s rhythm. This is simple, natural luxury in one of Africa’s most untouched ecosystems.
