Honeyguide Tarangire Camp is a classic tented camp set in Tarangire National Park where it has vast views over the surrounding Savanna.
Honeyguide Tarangire Camp, formally known as Corfield Camp, is located in the northern sector of Tarangire National Park, but in a secluded area in the north that rarely gets visitors. This give you both a private atmosphere along with the convenience of close being within proximity to the nearby parks which you wouldn’t have if you were deeper inside the park. Stepping into Honeyguide Tarangire Camp is to step into a safari in the 80’s. With the Corfield brother’s history in the industry they have kept with the old school style and service which is unmatched.
The tents are very large being a pyramid shape and are well furnished with plenty of storage and seating room. The tents are made of canvas but also have a netted option to allow for an extra breeze. The tents are en-suite with double basins, mirrors a flush toilet and both indoor and outdoor hot showers. The rooms have 220V power supply. The beds can be configured into twins or a double and can fit up to 4 twins in one room for families. Don’t let the term “tent” scare you from this camp, it is as luxurious as many high-end lodges!
The main area is a larger open style tent where meals are enjoyed. The bar has a separate tent and is a cash bar and has a variety of wines on offer. There is also a small library located at the bar tent with a selection of books including one from Tim Corfield himself.
