SAFARI FRANK was born from our family’s lifelong passion for African wilderness. Johan, Welna, and their children Frank and Karin all have safari in their blood. Waking up to a fully grown male lion roaring underneath our rooftop tent, a baboon kitchen-raid right before the in-laws came to stay, or bedtime stories told around the campfire somewhere in the middle of the Kalahari Desert are only some of the memories that ignited our desire to craft safaris for others.
SAFARI FRANK co-founder and name giver Frank’s passion for Africa’s wilderness was kindled in childhood. From a young age, Frank spent countless hours perched on the tracker seat of the family’s game viewer, eyes peeled for elusive leopards. These formative experiences in the Greater Kruger National Park shaped his enduring love for Africa’s wild places and wildlife, which is shared by the entire family – including his wife Gesa, whom he met – naturally, on safari.

Today, SAFARI FRANK is home to a team of seasoned experts whose deep appreciation for “Safari Africa” mirrors our own. Our dedicated safari planners continuously explore the continent, uncovering hidden treasures and revisiting cherished locations to ensure we offer the most authentic experiences.
