Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire lies in the shade of grove of acacia trees in central Tarangire within a stone’s throw of the Tarangire river. This location means it is far from the busier tourist area in the north, but still gives the camp access to great wildlife at the nearby swamps but also directly around camp!

This small and intimate camp has only six guest tents which are all made of canvas with thatched roofs. They contain large beds, desk, indoor and outdoor hot showers on request, flushing toilet and an outside veranda. There is one family tent which consists of two en-suite bedrooms.

The main area is a large thatched open-sided structure where one can find the lounge with a library, dining area, bar and nearby fire-pit. Evening drinks are enjoyed by the fire before dinner is served in the main building.

The activities on offer are both day and night game drives, walking safaris straight from camp along the river, bush picnics and special sundowners. The wildlife in Tarangire is very impressive with large herd of elephants and buffaloes, along with plenty of big cats and outstanding birdlife. One must just be aware that tsetse flies can be a bit of an annoyance in this park.
