Travellers choose to stay at The Royal Madikwe because of the unforgettable experience, the seamless luxury, the sincere and passionate team and, of course, the consistent abundance of wildlife encounters both on safari and right on the doorstep, which features a private waterhole around which the lodge is enveloped. 

Daily dawn and dusk game drives are recommended to ensure that you get the most out of your safari experiences. The Big 5 (elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, and leopard) are all present in Madikwe Game Reserve, as well as many species of birds, antelope, and other mammals, including the endangered African wild dogs and cheetah. Guests can enjoy the thrill and adventure of a bush walk with highly qualified and experienced guides. While children of all ages are welcome at Royal Madikwe Safari Lodge, guests travelling with children under six will need to reserve a private game vehicle. 

Other activities include experiencing Tswana dancing or a marimba band performance, as well as hands-on drumming lessons. There’s a kids club for adventurous children and a communal pool for days in the sun. Adults can retreat to the spa for relaxation, and included in each stay, is a world-class dining experience for guests. 

With a maximum of just 21 guests, luxurious villas and suites and private plunge pools, guests at Royal Madikwe Safari Lodge will experience true leisure in the wild.
