Buhoma Lodge is a tranquil and cosy upmarket lodge located a short distance from the starting point of the Mountain Gorilla trekking experience. And is also one of only two lodges inside the park itself.

Bwindi is one of Uganda’s most beautiful regions and Buhoma lodge was built to take full advantage of that. Being one of only two lodges set within the park itself, it offers uninterrupted views of the forest and is within short walking distance of the starting point for gorilla trekking. This makes Buhoma lodge one of the best accommodation choices for visitors wanting to track mountain gorillas in Uganda.

The lodge has 10 beautiful eco-friendly and spacious chalets, all with private balconies, forest views, en-suite bathrooms with hot showers & flush toilets, complimentary wifi and charging stations. There is also one family chalet that is also used as a honeymoon suite. Enjoy your morning coffee on your private balcony overlooking the forest!

The main building consists of a cosy dining area and a spacious lounge and bar area with elevated views over the forest. The setting is simply stunning, and the lodge has even had a few visits from the Parks Gorillas in their garden.

The main activity is of course trekking through the forest in search of the mountain gorillas but they also offer forest walks, birding and cultural tours.
