Clouds is unique in Uganda: a pioneer eco-tourism hotel that was built in partnership with USAID, AWF and the Nkuringo community (NCCDF). Hosting nine of Ugandan’s top artists displaying their works, it embraces community and indulgent service in perfect combination. The main lodge feels like a ski chalet in the alps or a stone palace in the Rocky Mountains. Soaring ceilings, massive exposed wooden beams, big picture windows with endless views of treetops, volcanoes and mountains.
 

Tracking gorillas is high on the agenda for many tourists to Uganda. By all means, come to Clouds to track gorillas…but while you’re here, why not stay on a bit and immerse yourself in the relaxed vibe of the lodge, partake in Community activities, indulge in massage and beauty treatments and just enjoy the rarity of being pampered in such a spectacular setting.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is 11 hours by road from Kampala, and daily scheduled flights take 1 hour 15 mins and fly into Kisoro.

Accommodations         

With only seven suites, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge accommodates just 18 guests. Each cottage has a large sitting room with a double-sided fireplace, vast overstuffed armchairs, hand-woven carpets, a private verandah and comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. All beds can convert to either a king or two twins. There are five double cottages and two family cottages (each with two private bedrooms and en suite bathrooms).
