Primate Lodge is widely regarded as being the best located lodge for trekking the wild chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park. This is because the lodge is inside the park and less than 7 minutes walking distance from the visitor centre – the start of the Chimp trekking experience. Guests often can hear the chimps vocalising in the forests in the mornings, prior to setting out in search of them!

The eco-lodge has nine deluxe luxury cottages with en-suite facilities, 6 mid-level spacious forest cottages with en-suite facilities, one elevated banda with en-suite and one remote Sky Tree House for the adventurous. At the main area you will find a well-stocked bar, comfortable lounge, fireplace, craft shot and a restaurant.

Chimpanzee trekking is the main activity to be experience here, but others include general primate and forest walks, nocturnal walks, birding, bigodi swamp walks and visits to the crater lakes area.
