Detailed itinerary

Day 1 & 2: Chobe Game Lodge

Upon arrival at Kasane Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your driver and transferred to the magnificent Chobe Game Lodge. Located in the heart of Chobe National Park, the lodge offers a prime location for game viewing. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll be able to enjoy a leisurely lunch on the deck while taking in the spectacular views of the Chobe River. In the afternoon, you’ll head out on your first game drive or boat cruise, accompanied by an experienced guide who will share their knowledge of the park’s wildlife and ecosystems. Expect to encounter large herds of elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, a variety of bird species, and with a little luck – lions and leopards. We recommend boat cruises in the afternoons, as many animals come down to drink from the river late in the afternoon, and watching your first African sunset from the water is the perfect end to your first day in Botswana.

Early morning usually starts with a game drive in the park to witness the animals when they are most active, followed by a delicious breakfast back at the lodge. Later in the day, you’re invited to embark on another scenic boat cruise along the Chobe River,
