Moela Safari Lodge sits on the high banks of the Boteti River Valley, offering an extraordinary view of the grand amphitheatre where one of the world’s largest mammal migrations takes place. Nestled within a 770-hectare private tribal reserve, the lodge borders the Makgadikgadi National Park, close to Nxai Pan National Park and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The reserve was transformed from farmland to a wildlife haven by Chief Ngande of Khumaga Village in the early 80s. From the moment you arrive, the sweeping landscapes and rich wildlife diversity invite you to explore and immerse yourself in the heart of Botswana’s natural beauty.

The Boteti River Valley is one of Southern Africa’s most densely populated wildlife areas, attracting migratory Zebra and Wildebeest by the thousands during the winter months. In the dry season, the lodge offers some of the world’s best wildlife viewing right from your room. Resident species such as Kudu, Impala, Giraffe, Duiker, Steenbok, and Elephants can be seen on game drives, walks, and from the comfort of the lodge.
