Day 5-6: Kala Camp

On the morning of your fourth day, enjoy a last game drive or a sleep-in (depending on flight-times), then head to the airstrip to fly to Kala Camp.

Experience & Activities: From May to October, the area around Kala Camp transforms into a watery paradise, perfect for boating and Mekoro rides that launch directly from the camp. During these months, long walks on the nearby islands offer a unique way to explore the lush surroundings. As the floodwaters recede between October and May, the landscape shifts to reveal expansive floodplains teeming with wildlife, including large herds of buffalo and elephants. This seasonal change brings predators like lions into the vicinity, offering thrilling game viewing opportunities. Birding is exceptional year-round, with a wide variety of species populating the area. Activities at Kala Camp include guided walking safaris, game drives, and traditional Mokoro rides, ensuring that every guest can connect with the wilderness in their own way. Day 7-8: Tlouwana Camp:

Next, head on to Tlouwana Camp for two nights, a classic all-inclusive Chobe Safari on the doorstep of Botswana’s world-famous Chobe National Park, offering a luxurious and affordable tented safari experience for couples and families. It is ideal for both experienced safari travellers and first time visitors to Africa.

Tlouwana Camp is located in Lesoma Valley, which sits on the border with Zimbabwe and forms part of the Kasane Forest Reserve. Wildlife frequents the area, in particular elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes. The valley is a forty minute drive through the forest reserve to access Chobe National Park via Sedudu gate. Boat cruises for lodges in Lesoma Valley depart from Kasane town.

Guests can participate in boat cruises and game drives in Chobe National Park, a guided day trip to Victoria Falls, a night drive in Chobe Forest Reserve, and a Lesoma Village cultural tour with bicycles.

• Classic Safari Tents: Each tent has been erected over raised pine decking, and in addition to a choice of double or twin beds, you’ll have an en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower to wash away the dust from the day’s activities under the sky and stars.
• Family Safari Tent: Families, if you need extra space, ask for the family tent. It boasts a double bed and two 3/4 beds, all in one large pine decked Bedouin tent.

Day 9-10: The Palm River Hotel
