Ol Malo Ranch is a remote paradise with breathtaking views over the unique landscape of the rugged northern Laikipia Plateau.

The family-run working ranch covers a vast area of 5,000 hectares and the lodge is set high on the plateau with a simply stunning view of the valley of the Ewaso Ng’iro River.

The accommodation incorporates natural materials such as stone, thatch and wood in a building style that has evolved over generations. It offers the perfect blend of living comfort and luxury while gently blending into nature, allowing you to become one with it.

Ol Malo Guest House is a beautiful house with 6 bedrooms, ideal for groups or families. A large living and dining room with an open fireplace is surrounded by 3 en-suite double rooms. The separate, lovingly furnished cottages have 3 more double rooms to accommodate 6 more guests.

The intimate Ol Malo Lodge has 4 rooms combining traditional local style with luxurious handcrafted furnishings. The main area of Ol Malo Lodge consists of an elevated veranda with ample seating and a spacious infinity pool with an impressive view.
Embedded in the cliffs, each room has a veranda and absolute privacy. All rooms have private bathrooms, spacious whirlpools and private verandas. It is likely that during your stay you will see giraffe or elephant from your bed or balcony.

The activities at Ol Malo are incredibly varied. Morning bush walks and afternoon or evening game drives can be organised. For animal lovers, there are the options of camel or horseback rides through the wilderness. Fishing trips and helicopter flights offer exciting and varied adventures and cultural activities, such as visiting a manyatta (homestead) of the Samburu tribe or participating in a Samburu beading workshop are extraordinary highlights not to be missed.

Those who want to get even closer to the African nightlife can spend a night in the Leopard Hide with views of a waterhole, which is visited by many animals, especially at night. An overnight stay in the treehouse of the lodge is a highly recommended way to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the starry night sky.
