Enjoy an exploration of Namibia’s untouched natural environment with the Sossusvlei Lodge Adventure Centre. Here, you can embark on guided Sossusvlei trips, participate in archery, enjoy a sundowner trip or savor a bush dinner. For thrill-seekers, options include quad buggy nature drives, hot air ballooning, and scenic flights.
The lodge opened its doors in 1994 and is situated on a 40,000-hectare private reserve, directly adjacent to the Sesriem gate of the Namib Naukluft Park, which houses the highest dunes in the oldest desert.
After a day of adventure, cool off in the sparkling pool or enjoy an ice-cold beer under the shady trees in the Acacia beer garden. The al fresco terrace provides splendid views of the floodlit waterhole, allowing you to witness oryx, springbok, jackal, ground squirrel and hyena while enjoying exquisite food and wine.
Accommodations:
The Sossusvlei Lodge offers three types of accommodation units – Superior Units, Standard Family Units, and the luxurious Junior Suite.
The Superior Units: provide a patio to admire the magnificent desert landscapes and a spacious air-conditioned bedroom featuring twin beds. In addition, it offers a corner couch, refreshment area with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, luggage space, in-room safe, and a complimentary turn-down service. The stylish en-suite bathrooms are equipped with a corner bathtub, spacious shower, toilet, and double vanity.
The Standard Family Units: feature two rooms connected by a lockable inter-leading door between the two private bathrooms. Each unit offers a patio, air-conditioned bedroom, corner couch, refreshment area, fridge, luggage space, in-room safe and a complimentary turn-down service.
The Junior Suite: ensures privacy and tranquillity with a fantastic view of the surrounding desert plains. The Suite boasts a small splash pool and comfortable seating on a private terrace. The elegant bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate toilet, double vanity and a freestanding feature bath beneath a skylight.
Two of the Superior Rooms are specifically designed to be handicapped and wheelchair friendly featuring wider doors, handles fitted in the bathroom, and an open design shower for easier access.
All the detached accommodation units are thoughtfully laid out to blend perfectly with the surrounding natural environment, providing a sense of serenity amidst the beautiful desert landscapes.
