Itinerary in Brief

Your honeymoon should be one of the most memorable trips of your lifetime. A South Africa Honeymoon Safari ticks all the boxes in our opinion: intimate fine dining, world class wines, outstanding wildlife and Big 5 viewing, breathtaking coastlines and luxurious accommodation – this is the winning recipe for the perfect honeymoon safari!

Start your honeymoon with a 1-night stopover in Johannesburg’s most iconic boutique hotel where you can relax and recover from any jetlag. From there, fly directly to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and spend 4 nights in one of the most intimate and luxurious lodges in the region with only 4 guest rooms. The wildlife density in the Sabi Sands is simply incredible, with excellent chances of encountering all members of the Big 5 along with a plethora of other mammal and bird species. Highly trained professional safari guides will take you on twice daily activities to experience the wonder of this reserve. After your time here, catch a direct flight to Cape Town and check into a unique hotel right in the city centre for 3 nights that offers an authentic ‘live like a local’ experience. Hop from one fancy restaurant to the next or explore the city surrounding on guided tours, it’s all up to you to decide! From the city centre, head inland to the famous Cape Winelands and spend 2 nights on an incredible farm, the perfect base to explore the region on wine tours or just enjoy the fresh local produce. Then finally, it’s off to the Whale Coast to an incredible romantic lodge located in De Hoop Nature Reserve, an exclusive coastal reserve. If you time the honeymoon trip during the whale season (July – November) the De Hoop Bay is host to one of the highest densities of whales anywhere on earth! Imagine popping the champagne bottle as the sunsets while whales breach and play just a stone’s throw off the beach… unforgettable!

For a great tropical beach honeymoon extension to this already incredible trip, consider flying to Mozambique for a few nights!
