Serengeti

With its unique architecture and design elements, Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti offers a truly unique African experience. Being only 50 minutes drive to the west of Seronera airstrip, the location is superb all year round. Each day, guests will set out on two game drives (morning and late afternoon), or a full day game drive on a shared basis.

What better way to take in the stunning Serengeti landscape than from the air? A sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti is sure to be one of the highlights of your safari. Flights last approximately one hour and are followed by a champagne bush breakfast.

The three tiered main building with its infinity pool will ensure you have some relaxation between the thrill of wildlife viewing. Golf cart escorts accompany guests from the main deck to their safari rooms.

Mahale

Mbali Mbali Mahale sits on a stretch of sheltered golden beach, deep in the heart of the African interior. Boasting a backdrop formed by the dramatic Mahale Mountain range and the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika in the foreground, this secluded and romantic hideaway is the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. Mahale is a pristine, natural experience open to those willing to walk its trails. The birds, primates, monkeys, small predators and butterflies all offer signs of life, and there is little that beats an amble through the forest. The price of comfort has not been at the cost of the environment. Mbali Mbali Mahale is powered by solar energy, and much care has been taken to reduce the lodge’s carbon footprint.

The primary activity in the park is chimpanzee trekking, carefully monitored so as to reduce human impact on the famous habituated M-Group chimps. Take a gentle boat safari on the lake, or opt for a fishing excursion, where you may encounter crocodiles, hippos and otters and an abundance of birdlife. Kayaks are available for exploring the lake at your leisure, or you may choose to simply stretch out under one of the salas on the beach, while the gentle lapping of the lake lulls you into an afternoon siesta. Guests can also enjoy a forest walk of Mahale Mountains National Park to learn about the Flora and Fauna from an expert guide.

Day 1 - 4: Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti

Upon setting foot at the picturesque Seronera airstrip, you will immediately sense the adventure that awaits you. Warm welcomes will be the first thing that greets you, ensuring your journey begins on a comforting note. As you make your way to the magical destination of Mbali Mbali Soroi Serengeti, let the scenic beauty envelop you. This mesmerizing lodge, carefully positioned amidst the ancient acacia trees, offers an intimate connection to the Tanzanian wilderness.

The Serengeti, a vast tapestry of nature’s finest spectacles, comes alive in different ways throughout the year. Depending on when you choose to embark on this journey, you might find yourself in the midst of one of nature’s most awe-inspiring displays – the Great Migration. Witnessing this marvel, where thousands upon thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other game move in rhythmic harmony, is an experience that resonates deeply within one’s soul.

Your days here will be filled with invigorating game drives, where every turn offers a new encounter. The Serengeti is teeming with life. From majestic lions to graceful gazelles, the vibrant tapestry of wildlife will captivate your senses. As you traverse these iconic plains, you’ll be privy to nature’s raw dramas, where the intricate dance of life, survival, birth, and death plays out before your very eyes.

As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of oranges, pinks, and purples, the lodge beckons you back. Here, evenings transcend the ordinary. Gather around a crackling fireplace, where the flickering flames cast a warm glow on all who encircle it. With the vast African sky, glittered with stars, as your canopy, share tales of the day’s sightings, adventures, and the profound moments that only the wild can offer. These shared stories, laughs, and experiences forge bonds that go beyond the trip, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Day 5 - 7: Mbali Mbali Mahale

On the fifth day of your captivating journey, prepare for a serene and scenic ride across the pristine waters of Lake Tanganyika. This isn’t just any body of water; it’s the world’s second deepest lake, holding a rich history and unique ecosystem beneath its shimmering surface. Your mode of transport will be a traditional dhow boat, allowing you to immerse yourself in the region’s rich maritime heritage as you smoothly sail towards your next destination.

Your upcoming haven is the secluded Mbali Mbali Mahale. This enchanting retreat, located along the lake’s shores, harmoniously blends luxury with nature. As you approach, the resort emerges as a hidden gem amidst the dense, verdant wilderness that surrounds it. For bird enthusiasts, the park is a paradise, home to a dazzling array of bird species, their songs and colors punctuating the air.

But the beauty of this destination is in its diversity. Those keen on a more aquatic adventure can indulge in fishing excursions, where the lake’s depths reveal their hidden treasures. Or, for a more tranquil experience, paddle out into the calm waters on a kayak, letting the rhythm of the waves guide your journey.

As the sun starts its descent, casting a golden hue over the landscape, the beach transforms into a festive gathering spot. Here, the tantalizing aroma of barbecued delights fills the air, beckoning all to partake in a feast prepared by skilled hands. Accompanied by your choice of sundowners, these meals are a sensory delight. And as darkness blankets the surroundings, a roaring campfire emerges as the evening’s centerpiece. Gather around its warmth, share tales of the day’s adventures, and let the gentle lull of the waves serenade you into the night.
