The Classic safari itinerary that showcases Cape Town, have you viewing the Big 5 in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and ends at the world wonder that is Victoria Falls. This honeymoon safari follows this proven circuit but focuses on the couple and ensures an intimate experience, taking advantage of honeymoon specials.

The safari starts with 4 nights in one of the most elegant and luxurious boutique hotels in Cape Town, located within 10 minutes of the city’s major attractions. Explore the city, relax and enjoy couple’s spa treatments in this stunning hotel. From there, spend 2 nights in luxury accommodation on a working farm and vineyard – one of our favourite properties in the region! Experience the farm itself with its huge lush gardens, farm to fork style restaurants and wine tastings. Or alternatively explore the surrounding farms! After Cape Town, catch a direct flight to Skukuza in the Kruger National Park and get transferred to an intimate and luxurious classic farm styled accommodation in the famed Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The Sabi Sands is renowned as one of the world’s premier wildlife destinations and is certainly one of the best places to view all members of the Big 5. Spending 4 nights here ensures a rich and full safaris experience. Another transfer back to Skukuza followed by a direct flight has you landing in the town of Livingstone, the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. You’ll be accommodated just out of town upstream of the Zambezi river where nature is at its best and you aren’t disturbed by the sound of overhead helicopters. Spending 3 nights in a luxury hotel gives you ample time to explore Victoria Falls and take advantage of the plethora of other activities available in the area. We highly recommend a romantic dinner for 2 on the mighty Zambezi!

This Classic African Honeymoon is perfect for couples visiting Africa for the first time and want to experience the best and romantic side of it. It incorporates three of the most sought-after regions and experiences in Southern Africa and is sure to be an unforgettable honeymoon safari!

Sharing an unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park, the reserve benefits from a great diversity of wildlife – although it is particularly well known for its prolific leopard sightings. Here, old meets new; with antique-styled beds seamlessly blending with modern comforts and claw foot bathtubs, fireplaces and private verandas creating a warm and inviting ambience.

Nights 11-13: Tongabezi Lodge

Tongabezi Lodge feels much more like an intimate holiday resort than it does a traditional safari lodge. Everything about the place is telling you to grab a seat by the pool and relax while the sunsets over the Zambezi river. The perfect place to wind down and enjoy paradise. This is paired well with its fairly close proximity to the falls itself, from which the lodge is 15km upstream. It was close enough for convenience, yet far enough for some peace and quiet from the noise pollution.

With a wide array of accommodation types, Tongabezi has something for all travelers. It has en-suite river-view cottages and spacious open-plan private houses for families, couples or groups – of which many have private infinity pools and bathtubs with some incredible views. There is also the award-winning honeymoon house which has all the bells and whistles!
