The Plantation Lodge is located on landscaped grounds spanning a total of ten hectares. All rooms and suites within the owner-run lodge are unique and have been furnished with great attention to detail. The excellent restaurant regales guests with choice fare every evening. After a safari, there are many ways of seeing out the day in a relaxed manner: bathing in the pool, indulging in a massage, going for a walk in the garden or enjoying a sundowner on the bar’s terrace. The Plantation Lodge is just 12km from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Accommodations

Standard Rooms: The rooms lie generously distributed throughout the garden, and may have verandas and direct access to the garden. Individuality is a major feature of The Plantation Lodge, where each room has its own style, choice accessories, and bouquets of fresh flowers set decorative accents.

Family Unit Bamboo: Ideal for families with children aged up to 15 years: Bamboo offers two bedrooms that are separated from one another by a hallway and a bathroom. The practical, segmented layout makes for privacy. The children’s bedroom is furnished with two single beds. Folding doors lead from both bedrooms to the idyllic inner quad that incorporates a seating nook.

Garden House: Garden house, with its four double bedrooms, offers plenty of space on two floors. From the upper fireplace room with its lounge seating, to the stairs that lead down into the heart of the house, to the spacious dining room with its impressive table. Not only the house’s interior is highly pleasing, the veranda also offers spectacular views of the picturesque hills. It’s the best place to sit and sip a sundowner.

Family Suite Farm House: Oleander and bougainvillea line the path to the farm house. The free-standing house with a surrounding garden is ideal for families or two couples. The two generous, bright bedrooms offer plenty of space and each has its own bathroom. The center of the house is the living room where a dining area, two sofas, and a fireplace combine to create a cozy atmosphere.

Jacaranda Suite: Jacaranda suite, also known as the honeymoon suite, lies somewhat apart from the other rooms. Right next to the entrance is the terrace, a nice quiet spot for reading, writing postcards, and relaxing amid glorious nature.

Coffee House Suites: Each of these suites, named Kent and Blue Mountain, is unique. Stylish and comfortable. The fireplace room has access to the shared terrace and to the garden, the airy bedroom with its veranda and two sunbeds, and the spacious bathroom. With attention to detail and a sure feeling for the successful composition of furniture and accessories here are two truly beautiful suites waiting for guests to come and feel good in them.

Heliconia Suite: The Heliconia suite comes across as being both stylish and comfortable. The snug bedroom and the generous living area, with an additional bed, are inviting. Double-doors from both rooms open out onto the terrace, which extends the length of two sides of the suite, affording complete seclusion from prying eyes. Make yourself comfortable on the chaise lounge or enjoy a refreshment in the seating area.

Eucalyptus Suite: The eucalyptus suite offers a great deal of space, and feel-good ambience in abundance. It receives its guests in the generously dimensioned and stylishly furnished fireplace lounge. A comfortable and tastefully designed bedroom gives onto the terrace and the garden. There is a further open-air seating nook in the entrance area.

Zanzibar Suite: The Zanzibar suite takes you into the world of a thousand and one nights. It has Zanzibar style beds and various accessories to recreate the exotic atmosphere of the tropical island off the coast of Tanzania. It is wonderful to sleep under the canopy or to relax in the large, heavenly bath with aromatic essences. This suite will make your vacation dreams come true.
