Experience & Activities:
Rivertrees Country Inn sits on a historic coffee farm beneath the foothills of Mount Meru. Today, the estate blends heritage, nature, and quiet comfort.
Across ten acres of lush gardens, birds and small wildlife thrive. As a result, the grounds feel peaceful and alive. Meanwhile, the nearby river adds a calming soundtrack throughout the day.
Rustic cottages sit among tall trees and along the riverbank. Consequently, guests enjoy privacy while staying close to nature. In addition, the expansive lawns create a relaxed and picturesque setting.
The surrounding region invites exploration. For example, nearby nature reserves offer guided walks and wildlife encounters. Likewise, montane forests reveal scenic trails and rich birdlife. Guests can also visit local villages and experience authentic Tanzanian culture.
After a day of adventure, the inn’s restaurant provides a welcoming retreat. The kitchen prepares seasonal meals using fresh garden ingredients and traditional recipes. Furthermore, the menu features oven-fired pizzas and locally grown coffee.
In the evening, guests gather for candlelit dinners. During cooler nights, the fireplace creates a warm atmosphere. Alternatively, dine beneath the stars while owls call from nearby trees.

The River House offers privacy, space, and understated elegance. Therefore, it suits travellers who value exclusivity and comfort.
This private retreat includes two spacious bedrooms and a generous living room. As a result, it accommodates up to four guests comfortably. Meanwhile, the wraparound veranda overlooks the river and invites quiet moments outdoors.
Two River Cottages sit high on the riverbank within forested thickets. Consequently, guests enjoy seclusion and beautiful views of the surrounding canopy. Each cottage includes a private terrace that opens onto the forest. In addition, outdoor rain showers allow guests to experience nature up close.
The Farm House once served as the heart of the coffee estate. Today, it still reflects the warmth of a well-loved home. Family antiques and historic portraits decorate the interior.
