The guest areas are all carefully positioned to maximise the expansive views across the Delta to the distant silhouettes of Delta tree lines. The elevated dining area extends onto a shady veranda which in turn leads onto an open-air boma where candlelit dinners are served beneath the stars.

Your fully interpretive game drives at Xaranna are wonderfully remote and secluded, with few other &Beyond safari vehicles sharing the private concession. Afternoon drives continue after sunset, with the chance of seeing those elusive species like leopard and serval that are active after dark.

Depending on the Delta water levels: glide along the Delta’s reed-lined network of channels and lagoons in a mokoro (dugout canoe) and come within a breath of resident and visiting wildlife; alternatively, you may opt for the different perspective of game viewing in a motorised boat.

Examine the often-overlooked aspects of the natural world, and unravel its marvelous intricacies and simple truths by experiencing the Delta on foot, free from the constraints of roads and vehicles. Observe and learn as your guide expertly interprets the signs and sounds of the bush.

You can also explore by helicopter: with many of the Delta’s very remote areas generally inaccessible, an aerial perspective is one of the best ways to get a true feeling for the Delta’s vast open spaces.
