- Because the camp will be all yours, do as much or as little as you want.

“Enasoit is old-school Kenya: Little Enasoit Lodge occupies a bowl of magical land surrounded by the Lolldaiga Hills. The books are sun-bleached and dog-eared with love, and the animals congregate around water holes as if they know that Enasoit’s owners will keep them safe.” Sophy Roberts, Condé Nast Traveller
This is a very special camp for small groups of friends or families in a great wildlife corridor in Laikipia. Arrive as guests and depart as friends of Pete and Karen, the resident managers. And oh yes….did we mention the food, fresh real food to die for!
Enasoit is a private wildlife reserve and luxury tented camp situated on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau at the foot of the Lolldaiga Hills.
Set within a natural wildlife corridor, Enasoit is host to a large number of animals and has an extraordinary biodiversity. Enasoit is offered on an exclusive-use basis and offers a uniquely private safari experience ideal for families and special celebrations. Guests have Enasoit Camp, the surrounding reserve and wildlife all to themselves, and enjoy the tranquility and excitement of safari without seeing other visitors
Enasoit has 8 rooms in total: 6 rooms at Enasoit Camp and 2 rooms at the Pool House. The Camp can only be booked on an exclusive basis, with a min of 4 guests in low season and 6 guests in high season.
Enasoit Camp’s 6 tented cottages are situated around a permanent watering hole which attracts a busy array of wildlife, easily visible from the tent verandahs. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo and many species of antelope regularly come to drink, and lion, cheetah and wild dog often wander past Camp.
The tents are carefully constructed using canvas and permanent local materials, combining the romance of living “under canvas” with the comfort of a permanent structure. Each tent has en-suite bathrooms, wooden floors, a private verandah and sitting room area with a fireplace for the cooler evenings. Life in camp revolves around the open-sided Mess Tent. By day the Mess Tent offers a comfortable shaded spot from which to enjoy views across the plain. At night a camp-fire is lit in front of the Mess Tent for pre-dinner drinks and sightings of Enasoit’s nocturnal wildlife.
Enasoit’s Pool House is a quiet retreat nestled on a small hillside 5 minutes’ drive or 20-minute gentle walk from Enasoit Camp. The Pool House has two thatched double en-suite cottages as well as a sitting / dining room set beside the pool and surrounded by tropical gardens which enjoy exceptional bird life. The Pool House provides additional accommodation for larger groups and is also an alternative location for lunches and dinners, or for tranquil afternoons by the pool.
There are many activities on offer such as bush walks, game drives (also at night), bush picnics, dinner under the stars, horse riding, tracking the resident lions, bird watching in the cedar forests, massage and spa treatments and the list goes on! A local rhino reserve can also be visited on request to see the black rhino, as well as scenic helicopter flights!
Pete and Karen Glover and their team manage the reserve and Camp and ensure guests are well looked after. Pete and Karen are Kenyan born and live permanently at Enasoit with their two children. Many of the staff have been there for over 20 years and between them they have a deep knowledge of the area and its wildlife.
