Explore a range of non-motorized activities like kayaking, pedalo, paddle board and snorkelling sessions. Deep-sea fishing, water-skiing and other activities are also available. Official PADI dive courses are available for those who look to learn and earn a certificate or just for leisure. 

The Zalu Spa offers guests a tranquil day spa experience surrounded by the beauty of Zanzibar. There are also village tours, wildlife experiences, historical tours and visits to spice farms. Don’t miss the Kizimazi Dolphin Tour and the chance to meet a 180-year-old tortoise. 

Tinga Club offers complimentary innovative and creative fun activities for children, with activities combined with education and entertainment. Apart from these daily events, the first child under 12 stays for free at Essque Zalu. Your child can be taken care of around the clock by one of our Tinga Club coordinators. More than mere babysitters, they are specially trained in child care and children’s entertainment. 

Accommodations         

Choose from 40 individual suites and eight villas, all with picturesque views over the lush tropical garden or the ocean turquoise blue. Essque Zalu features 40 Suites as well as 8 Residences ranging from three to four bedrooms to choose from, all of which boast views of the Indian Ocean or the lush tropical gardens. 

The suites at Essque Zalu boast a maximum occupancy of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. This ensures that they are the ideal destination for couples seeking a romantic getaway and families who do not wish to compromise on luxury. These luxuriously-styled spaces feature local materials and native artwork.

For a more spacious stay, Essque Zalu offers 8 Residences ranging from 3 to 4 bedrooms, all of which feature their very own plunge private pool, dining room, a private spa, spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen. As expected, the Residences also boast either a terrace or balcony, with exquisite views upon which to laze.
